Since 1987, when seven women put their address books together; booked the Calhoun Beach Club for a dance that sold- out at 250 women and collected canned goods for a food shelf; the WUMN Gala has been an iconic annual community event and fundraiser. In years past, the dance was held New Year's week in downtown Minneapolis. In 2010, the venue and date changed.
